About the Event

June 2nd marks the day Telangana became India's 29th state in 2014 - a victory born from six decades of struggle, sacrifice, and unwavering resolve. As we celebrate the 12th Formation Day, GTA Utah invites you to an evening of reflection, celebration, and community - honoring our roots while creating new memories with Telangana families across Utah.

The Movement & The Martyrs

Since the 1956 merger with Andhra Pradesh, the people of Telangana fought tirelessly for recognition, dignity, and self-determination. Over 1,200 martyrs - students, farmers, and ordinary citizens - gave their lives through decades of agitation. Their sacrifice is the foundation our state stands on. We celebrate with joy and remember with gratitude.
